01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Step inside to the fragrant aroma of freshly roasted beans, where in-house roasted coffees highlight the diverse profiles of their origins. At the counter of Jikabaisen CAFE&BAR SOLO (自家焙煎CAFE&BAR SOLO), single-origin options range from Brazilian beans with dark-chocolate body and fruity acidity to Peru Andes Blue featuring bright citrus notes. With staff available to recommend a pour that suits your preference alongside a rotating coffee of the day, coffee lovers have plenty to explore.

A natural partner to the coffee is the retro Showa Pudding, served in traditional fashion on a silver dish. Noticeably dense and firm beneath the spoon, its rich custard and bittersweet caramel sauce pair seamlessly with a darker roast. Other cafe sweets, including house-roasted coffee jelly and dessert floats topped with Hokkaido soft-serve ice cream, make for satisfying pauses throughout the day.

The savory menu is well developed, offering hearty staples such as classic Napolitan and carbonara pasta alongside thick-cut pizza toast and special taco rice. Its schedule accommodates morning snacks, midday lunches, and late-afternoon bar visits with equal ease.

Located in the Marion Hamacho Building in Nihonbashi Hamacho, the venue provides spacious seating across both its ground floor and basement level. The quiet atmosphere downstairs makes it an easy stop whether taking time to appreciate a brew alone or resting mid-walk through the neighborhood.
